Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, Eliott Erwitt and The Royals, to name just a few, count on the world famous skills of a Venetian when it comes to printing their bunsiness-, stationary- or invitation cards.
Gianni Basso (67), the last keeper of the Venetian Art of Printing, calls himself “Gutenberg of Venice”. Much like the German inventor of the printing press, Basso prints by hand on 18th century machinery. The colors are meticulously mixed by hand in the workshop and the artist uses only the very best paper quality for his print products.
